This short film is a visual representation of how we think people try to hide behind makeup, but even then are unable to smile. Conceptualized by Aperture Lighting, we’ve tried to take the concept and recreate it in our own style. Directed by Nandini, her strong motive for this short film was to let people understand whoever you are you should embrace yourself.
Arranging for the shoot, we’ve created Rembrandt lighting in order to get that dramatic portrait look on our character and have decided to go with warm tones, which signifies the message for the film.
The Film is a reversal of a girl who has braces and is getting ready while putting on her makeup. She is not very comfortable with how her smile looks in front of the mirror. Thus, we show the film in reverse where we see her smile with her braces on. It provokes a sense of self-love and how important it is to accept yourself. You just have to believe in yourself. We are who we are.
